Eggnog French Toast

  • 1 ¾ cups Shamrock Farms® Eggnog
  • 1 large loaf challah bread or brioche bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Salted butter
  • Suggested toppings: nutmeg, whipped cream and cinnamon
Cooking instructions
  1. Combine eggs, Shamrock Farms Eggnog, milk, grated orange zest, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt into a blender and blend.
  2. Heat skillet on medium high with salted butter.
  3. Slice your bread about 3/4 to 1 inch thick.
  4. In a 9 x 13 pan, add the blended mixture and then dip the bread on both sides allowing to soak for a few seconds. Let access mixture drip off the slices before you add it to the skillet to cook.
  5. Tip: Don’t over flip your french toast. Once you have laid it in the pan let it brown to a golden brown and flip once.
  6. Serve with whipped cream, cinnamon and nutmeg.
