Shamrock Begins Search for Families with Great Taste for Flavor Panel
Fourth Annual Taste Buds program invites the whole family to join!
PHOENIX (July 22, 2009) – The fourth annual contest to join the yummiest club in town – Roxie’s Taste Buds – begins Wednesday, July 22. This year Roxie, Shamrock Farms spokescow, is inviting the whole herd – parents included! – to join in on the fun and learn more about Arizona’s hometown dairy while taste testing existing and new products.
The program gives Shamrock Farms the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from Arizona consumers on its’ current products as well as new product ideas while giving families the chance to learn more about the dairy. Ten families will be chosen to join this exclusive club where throughout the nine-month membership they will enjoy many activities and benefits such as tasting new products, participating in fun events and receiving product savings and rewards. To top it off, they will also have the chance to meet Roxie the spokescow, who will accompany the Taste Buds on their journey of learning about products like flavored milk and sour cream!
“We are excited to open up our Taste Buds program to the whole family this year,” said Pam Crist, Shamrock Farms Brand Manager. “Shamrock Farms has always based its product development on consumer feedback, and now we’ll have a dedicated panel of our core audience – Arizona families! What’s more, it’s a great opportunity for families to spend time together having fun while learning about local agriculture and manufacturing practices.”
Arizona families are invited to apply to become a part of this year’s family consumer panel. Children must be between 6 and 12 years old and adults must be 18 years old or greater in order to be eligible. Up to 10 families will be selected by a group of local judges based on three short essay questions. The selected Taste Buds will be invited to participate in members-only activities from October 2009 through June 2010.
Taste Buds membership is completely free. Taste Buds will be featured online at shamrockfarms.net, receive T-shirts, product coupons and other Shamrock Farms merchandise.
“I love chocolate milk and by being a Taste Buds member I learned how Shamrock Farms makes it during the VIP Farm Tour,” says Lance, 2008 Tastes Buds member. “On top of that, I got to see all of their cows up close and personal, even the baby calves. Being a Taste Buds member was cool!”
