Shamrock Farms and Bashas' Celebrate with 10,000 Giveaways
PHOENIX (April 8, 2009) – Shamrock Farms is celebrating its new Shamrock Farms EssentialsTM milk line by giving away 10,000 half-gallons at four Valley Bashas’ supermarkets locations. The 10,000 giveaway is also a reminder of Bashas’ recent price cuts on 10,000 items storewide.
Shamrock Farms semi-trucks will be set up at four Valley Bashas’ locations – 7th Street & Missouri in Phoenix, Power & Chandler Heights in Queen Creek, Power & McDowell in Mesa and Lake Pleasant Rd & Beardsley in Peoria – and will be giving away half-gallons of its nutrient-rich Essentials milk Saturday, April 11 beginning at noon while supplies last and no later than 5 p.m. A total 10,000 half-gallons will be distributed throughout the day, with approximately 2,500 per location (limit two per person).
“We know that consumers want products to do more for them, which is why we developed our innovative Essentials milk line. It has the same great taste Shamrock Farms is known for, but is loaded with the extra good stuff bodies need,” said Sandy Kelly, director of marketing for Shamrock Farms.
The Essentials milk line is especially beneficial for little bodies that require DHA Omega-3 for healthy brain development and calcium for building bones. Each delicious glass of Shamrock Farms Essentials for KidsTM is packed with both of these needed nutrients.
“DHA provides amazing health benefits through every stage of life, but many people don't realize the advantages of the nutrient and don't consume DHA on a regular basis,” says Tina Shepard, registered dietitian and nutrition educator. “With the new Shamrock Farms Essentials milk line, families can reap the benefits of DHA intake by enjoying wholesome and delicious milk.”
The giveaway will feature all four Essentials milk varieties, including EssentialsTM for Kids (white and chocolate), EssentialsTM for Healthy Bones and EssentialsTM for a Healthy life. Each half-gallon provides extra nutrients like DHA Omega-3 and extra calcium to help families get more from their milk and maintain a healthy heart, mind and body.
“People shouldn’t be sacrificing healthy choices based on budget, which is why we’ve cut prices on 10,000 items storewide,” said Kristy Nied, director of communications for Bashas’ Family of Stores. “We hope people take advantage of this giveaway and deep discounts found in- store.”
Arizona’s hometown grocer cut prices on more than 10,000 everyday products to give families what they’re most looking for during these tough economic times – value. The 10,000 price cuts include everyday products in every department of the store, and include national and private label brands.
Shamrock Farms will be conducting another FREE Essentials giveaway at the March for Babies on April 18. There, participants will each receive a free half-gallon of Shamrock Farms EssentialsTM as they cross the finish line. Shamrock Farms partnered with the March of Dimes as the key nutrients found in EssentialsTM for Kids – DHA Omega-3 and Calcium – are linked to good prenatal health.
